Join Worldwrite for The Solidarity Picnic - a filmed discussion over a picnic in Millfields Park in response to the recent terror attacks in Manchester and London.

It’s a picnic for those who want a positive plan for how we as citizens might win hearts and minds away from terror and instead to free speech, democracy and tolerance. We want an alternative to the authoritarian, censorious responses of successive governments to terrorism, such as the disastrous Prevent duty.

Special guest speakers are:

Luke Gittos, legal editor, spiked

Rania Hafez, University of Greenwich

Jon Holbrook, barrister and contributor to spiked

Lee Jones, Queen Mary University of London

We need you to be part of a lively audience with questions to raise and arguments to make on camera. Filming should take no more than an hour and a half, which we will edit into a 30 minute video.

We're crowdfunding the event so please consider making a donation to cover costs of the filming.

Bring food, drink and plenty to say!
