Have yourself a very merry, literary Christmas, and get into the Christmas spirit with an evening of shopping and carols at the UK’s national library.

The British Library is excited to be hosting a Christmas market for the second year in a row in their breath-taking Entrance Hall and shops. Enjoy signature drinks and a book signing to celebrate two new Christmas releases from British Library Publishing, as well as 20% off the shop’s Christmas gift collection and exclusive offers from a variety of pop-up stands.

Stop by an exclusive book signing from author Martin Edwards after the publication of his highly-anticipated Christmas crime story, Portrait of a Murderer.

Or frequent the cash bar to try a range of cocktails introduced to complement The Cocktail Book. First published in 1900, this bar favourite is back in print to allow a modern audience to rediscover the joys of early cocktails.

Full highlights of the evening include:

• Exclusive offers from a variety of suppliers with pop up stands
• Free embossing from the Cambridge Satchel Company on satchels bought that evening (usually £7 per letter)
• Cash bar with a range of cocktails from the new Cocktail Book
• Book signing from Martin Edwards, author of the new Crime Classic
• Acoustic Christmas carols
• Tea and coffee

This event is free and open to the public.
