Vaughan Williams Symphony No.5

Trinity Laban Symphony Orchestra’s major autumn performance features Britten’s Sinfonia da Requiem, his largest purely orchestral work for the concert hall written in 1940, alongside Vaughan Williams’ Symphony No.5 from 1943. More recently, Sally Beamish’s 2012 work Diodati is inspired by the villa where Mary Shelley began to write Frankenstein, while a new work by Trinity Laban composition student Heather Stephenson completes the evening.
