Graham’s Port and Disappearing Dining Club are to trial a new dining concept titled “Port in a Storm” to bring the warmth of the Douro Valley in Portugal – home of the world’s finest Port brand – to the cold of London this winter.
During November, Port in a Storm will offer its guests an exclusive five course supper club experience, with guests are invited to enjoy a menu inspired by Portuguese cuisine and Port itself.
Every dish will include a Port in its creation, with highlights from the menu including Pig’s Head Rillette with White Port & Tarragon; Port Braised Skate Wing with Truffle Mash; and Port Soaked Black Forest Gateaux. Dishes will also be paired with a Graham’s Port so diners can experience the full range of this hugely approachable wine style.
The list will include classic Ruby styles of Port alongside lesser-known Tawny Port – many of which are aged for decades in Graham’s cellars in Porto. Guests will also be able to try White Port – both as an aperitif served with tonic as is Portuguese tradition and also as a standalone wine.
The specially curated menu from the supper club aficionados at Disappearing Dining Club features innovative Port and food pairings, designed to show diners that Port deserves a place at the table year round, not just at Christmas.
Hosted at private dining venue, Little Quiet, an intimate townhouse dining rooms for just three evenings, Port in a Storm will offer the opportunity to journey to the Douro Valley and back again without leaving London.
Given the high demand, tickets are available through a ballot system only.
To enter the ballot for the chance to buy tickets (maximum 2 per person) please email [email protected]. The ballot closes on 31st October.
