‘Storytellers: Medtner and Stravinsky’ with internationally acclaimed pianist Alexei Volodin in recital ?

Pianist Alexei Volodin pays homage to the masters of imaginative piano writing, performing three of Nikolai Medtner’s 'Fairy Tales' for solo piano, followed by a performance of Stravinsky’s 'The Rite of Spring' with fellow-pianist Edith Peña and concluding with the two pianists being joined by members of the London Chamber Orchestra to perform Medtner’s Piano Quintet.

The Concert will be introduced by Radio 3’s Tom Service. It is presented as a part of the Eastern Seasons week of cultural and business events.
