Come one come all and help us to celebrate London’s special history at the Maritime music festival, a free-of-charge extravaganza that assembles some of the UK’s best sea shanty singing crews!
For centuries British sailors travelled the high seas, trading (and often plundering) their way to fame and fortune. This cause the sharing of sea shanties, as merry sailors looked to pass the time on their long and arduous journeys.
Enjoy live music throughout Saturday 18 & Sunday 19 November between 12pm and 4pm, with acts including Hughie Jones of The Spinners, plus Keith Kendrick & Sylvia Needham to name just a few.
A full schedule of activities for children of all ages will run on both days of the festival. Whether it’s naval knot tying classes, poetry rhyming sessions or full-scale sea shanty singalongs, your kids will love learning a new skill at the Maritime music festival!
