Take a walk through Battersea Park and visit the enchanted Christmas Market on the 2nd & 3rd of December. Located on Pear Tree Cafe’s charming terrace, amongst twinkling trees, overlooking the frosted boating lake, 30 vendors will be selling artisan food and drink products as well as handmade and luxury gifts. As the carol singers chime, guests can roam the markets, sipping mulled wine and feasting on festive favourites. A personalised hamper service will run throughout the weekend, for market goers to build the perfect gift by picking up a basket and filling it with their loved one’s favourite treats and trinkets.

The BBQ will be lit from 12pm serving The Pig in Blanket Hot Dog with prunes, pancetta and balsamic onion and brussel sprouts and chestnut skewers with date syrup. Move across to the Raclette Stand for a plate of molten cheese with charlotte potatoes, cornichons and pickled pearl onions before retiring around the Marshmallow Fire Pit. Spiced mulled wines and warming cocktails will be served from the covered Lake Bar to get guests in the yuletide mood before wandering the market stalls.

Vendors are hand selected by founders Annabel Partridge and Will Burrett, with foodie favourites such as Alpages Swiss Alpine Cheese, Rococo Chocolate, British cured meats from Cannon & Cannon, relishes and chutney from Rubies in the Rubble, loose leaf tea and ware from Good and Proper Tea and sparkling wines from Wiston Estate. For design lovers, handmade woven rugs from Francesca Gentilli, playful shoe brand Rouge Matilda and whimsical stationery from South London Letter Press will be on offer. The Pear Tree Christmas Market is designed to get every list checked off, whether that be fresh wreaths from Miranda Fairhurst or sheepskin dog beds from Wool and Woof.

As the frosty evening draws near and the candles start to glow, the Saturday Night Market will be a magical gathering for friends and family with carol singers and festivities. Pear Tree Cafe will be putting on an evening supper with views overlooking the market and ice dusted park, serving seasonal dishes such as pulled pork sliders, pickled apple and red cabbage; turkey schnitzel brioche bun with cranberry sauce, melted brie and radicchio. Look out for the Pear Tree Hatch handing out sausage rolls, hot chocolate, mince pies and mulled cider.
