About Ruth Grimberg:

Ruth Grimberg is a documentary filmmaker and photographer living and working in London. Her films have been selected for numerous festivals in the UK, Europe and the USA, winning best Documentary at Aesthetica Short Film Festival in 2015 and Best Short Documentary at Open City Docs in 2016. In 2017 her short film Learning to Swim was broadcast on BBC4.

Ruth originally worked as a local newspaper photographer before studying photography at the London College of Printing. Developing her work to include the spoken word she began working on oral history projects before shooting her first documentary films.

She is currently teaching Documentary Production at the University of West London.
