Whether it’s poor battery life or sub-standard selfies, the nation’s smartphone gripes have been well-documented. To give people a chance to vent years of built-up frustration, Huawei is launching an ‘A Phone’ Destruction Booth in Soho, London, where consumers will get the chance to literally let it all out by smashing up smartphones.
This unique experience was created after research revealed that 63% of 2,000 British smartphone users are in a love/hate relationship with their phones, with poor battery life cited as causing more stress than arguing with a partner.
On entering the destruction booth, ‘smashers’ can pick which smartphone they’d like to destroy, and choose one of ten different weapons – including mallets, axes, baseball bats and frying pans – with which to vent their frustrations. Huawei staff will be on hand to capture each moment in every grizzly glory, ensuring that attendees leave with a stunning slow mo video of their experience – all captured on the HUAWEI P20 Pro.
Anyone who wants to smash all their troubles away in the A Phone Destruction Booth can head to www.aphoneparty.com to book their free 10 minute slot. Full protective gear will be provided, and all phones will be recycled – so at least their existence won’t have been completely futile...
