Easely done invites you and your friends to pick up a brush and try your hand at oil painting on Saturday 9th February 2019 from 1pm to 4pm at the award winning 'Kas & Ros' jewellery store, Tower Bridge Road, London. Materials and refreshments will be provided, see below for further details.
Gain valuable knowledge and skills, as an experienced artist guides you through the essential steps to produce unique, finished oil painted work.
This dynamic class is open to anyone, tailored to any experience or ability and designed to be a fun and enjoyable introductory session.
You will learn how to
• Understand painting surface preparation, materials and tools
• Prepare and work with your palette
• Produce an under-drawing
• Add and layer colour
• Add finishing glazes to seal and protect your oil painting
What we will provide
All materials will be provided, including;
• Canvas board
• A prepared portrait as a framework to apply these new processes
• Oil paints
• Brushes
• Glazing medium
• Mocktails, nibbles and a glass of bubbly
Your Teacher
Jamie Egner is a Belfast born artist, with classical Italian training. Now based in London with over 15 years’ experience working in oils. Following extensive training with a classical atelier in Florence, Italy, Jamie is passionate about studying, researching the history of oil paints and wants to share his experience and knowledge with you!
Jamie believes people are often needlessly intimidated by oil painting and is passionate about showing beginners just how easy it can be to adopt and incorporate this fascinating technique.
The Venue
The class will take place in a hidden, heated and covered garden, housed at the back of jewellery store 'Kas & Ros' which was set up by award winning designers Kasun London & Ros Millar. Based at Tower Bridge Road, this location is ideal for transport links in the city.
