Too much excitement. The Zombies are to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in March as one of the class of 2019 alongside Roxy Music, The Cure & Stevie Nicks! 5 out of the 7 bands being inducted this year are also British! And... the induction ceremony which takes place on 29 March is 50 years to the day that their hit Time of The Season went to #1 in the US. The Zombies’ singer Colin Blunstone will also celebrating this with a UK tour in April.

The Zombies will be releasing a coloured vinyl 5 x album box set ‘In the Beginning’ on Demon Records 22nd February.
This 5 LP set is book-ended by the two ‘proper’ albums that the band recorded, “Begin Here” and “Odessey And Oracle”. In between, “Early Days” and “Continue Here” round up the band’s various A-sides, B-sides and EP tracks. The fourth LP faithfully recreates the “R.I.P.” album, an intended posthumous release of overdubbed outtakes that was shelved when new band Argent emerged from the ashes of The Zombies. The whole set is housed in a rigid slipcase. The inner sleeves include photos from designer Phil Smee’s extensive collection, while the albums are pressed on different coloured 180 gram vinyl.
