Explore ideas surrounding body, space and narrative through a series of drawing workshops led by artist Gabriella Boyd.

This trio of workshops will unpack themes related to Donna Huddleston’s exhibition The Exhausted Student, through a variety of visual experiments using different materials, techniques and playful research tools. Responding to inspiring literary extracts selected by the artist, you will be able to gather visual references from Drawing Room’s study library and combine them with your own sources of inspiration to fuel your creative practice. The course will offer after-hours access to Drawing Room gallery space for collective activity and friendly one-to-one support, inclusive to all.

There are limited spaces available so book yours today - this course is ideal for beginners or experienced artists alike.

Gabriella Boyd graduated from the Royal Academy Schools and Glasgow School of Art. Her drawings and paintings flit and bleed between the depiction of space and the physical experience of it. UK and international exhibitions include: upcoming show Fragmented Bodies, Albertz Benda, New York, 2020; The Garden, Royal Academy, London, 2019; Preparing for What? Josh Lilley, London, 2019; Silent, Tourist, Mackintosh Lane, London, 2019; Help Yourself, Blain Southern, London 2018; London Open, Whitechapel, 2018; Dreamers Awake, White Cube Bermondsey, London, 2017; Boyd was commissioned to illustrate Folio Society's publication of Freud's Interpreting Dreams in 2015.
