On the evening 21 May 1471, Henry VI died in the Tower of London at the age of 49, almost certainly murdered by his Yorkist rivals; a victim of the brutal civil war which we know today as the Wars of the Roses.

In this talk, Principal Medieval Records Specialist Euan Roger will explore the last decade of Henry’s life, from his deposition in 1461 through to the events of the ‘Readeption’ and the circumstances around his death in 1471.
