“ A delicacy and luminosity, a suggestion of birth (enhanced by the baby blues and pinks), or the unfurling of a new life form.” is how renowned art critic Anna McNay describes the new abstract paintings by east-London artist Julie Umerle.
Immerse yourself in Umerle’s vibrant new geometric works (created in and out of lockdown) at the Bermondsey Project Space this May. Julie Umerle has exhibited at the Barbican Centre, Frieze London, and worked with Tracy Emin amongst others. She is surely one to watch.
On Saturday 22 May Umerle is reading from her critically acclaimed memoir ‘Art, Life and Everything’ 3-4pm.
