After the death of her second husband, Bernarda Alba puts her five daughters under a strict eight year mourning period. Under the intensely watchful eyes of those within the walls of the house and amidst the constant fear of what the neighbours will say, the storm that undeniably brews between them all will only promise to intensify into devastation.

The House of Bernarda Alba was written in 1936 by the surrealist poet, playwright and artist Federico Garçia Lorca. It is a strong symbolic ode to his homeland of Andalucia and a devastatingly honest reflection of sexual repression.

Directed by Dannie-Lu Carr (Les Petits Molière Award Winner, 2019). Performed by graduating actors of The Bridge Theatre Training Company.
