Live Music: Jocan Kavlakoglu at Merchant Square

Live music performances are back on at Merchant Square’s Floating Pocket Park in West London. Jocan Kavlakoglu will be performing on Thursday 29th July.

As part of their Summer Staycation programme bursting with fun events, live music performed by up-and-coming singer songwriters will be happening for free on the canal.

Various live music sessions will take place every Thursday evening 5:30PM – 7:30PM until 9th September 2021.

Described as ‘James Brown meets Rodrigo y Gabriela’, Joncan (pronounced Jon-Jan) combines the athletic skill of percussive techniques with emotive, highly dynamic and groove-based playing – creating a visually enthralling element alongside an atmosphere that gets people moving and pushes an audience’s expectation of what an acoustic guitar alone can do in the right hands.

There are comfy deck chairs available to sit on, no booking is necessary just turn up and grab your spot.

The area boasts a range of family friendly eateries that are open seven days a week, from Scandinavian cuisine to traditional pizza. For those who fancy a picnic, there are also food retailers and takeaway options in the area.
