Artists and friends Marina Abramović, Nico Vascellari, and Fyodor Pavlov-Andreevich exhibit a group of new works created in response to and presented alongside a series of masterworks spanning from antiquity to the Modern era. Named for the sense of awe one feels when in the presence of a masterwork, Humble Works is a major artistic intervention that explores the creative synergies between the three artists and the thought-provoking dialogues they have created between their new works and the historical objects that inspired them—ranging from a major portrait painting by Velázquez, rarely on view in the UK, to an Etruscan burial urn from the 6th Century BCE. Featuring new installation, photography, and sculpture alongside these masterworks, the exhibition exemplifies the gallery's commitment to highlighting connective threads that unite objects and artists across ages, categories, and geographies.
