“Taking the traditional ceilidh as its starting point, but ripping up the rule book & subverting the dance moves. No experience necessary.”

On Friday 28th or Saturday 29th January, join the Nest Collective for a night bedecked in tartan and tam o’shanters, where whisky flows and floorboards shake, all in celebration of Scotland’s favourite son, Robert Burns.

Our very own Ceilidh Liberation Front band will provide the soundtrack to the evening.

The Ceilidh Liberation Front is London’s most radical & colourful live band, subverting the lore of Ceilidh with their energetic folk dance regime. They breathe vigour and vitality into the traditional ceilidh, whilst honouring its roots and traditions.

Drams will be raised, sporrans polished, lassies toasted, dosies do’ed, willows stripped, and homage paid to Rabbie Burns in the most unruly fashion!

Bring your squeeze, bring your kilt, bring your granny, and don’t forget your dancing shoes.

The Nest Collective invites you to celebrate Scotland’s finest in style.

Dress code: There is no dress code for this event, kilted and un-kilted are all welcome. Come as splendid as you like! Heels are not recommended.

A delicious haggis dinner (with vegan alternative) will be available to buy on the night and we’ll have a full whisky bar too.

“Sweat-busting abandon, subverted dances and party tunes” – Time Out

“The event was full of high energy, great fun, and good spirit from start to finish…we would love to have them back again!” – Southbank Centre
