Traditional Indian savoury morsels are to follow, including spiced paneer cheese bhurji puffs and beetroot tikka chaat with chutney
Those with a sweet tooth will rejoice with the Raj collection of pastries! Indulge in Gajar halwa macaroons, Chocolate rasmalai cups, Anglo Indian Rose de Cookies, Gold leaf gulab jamun cheesecake and pistachio crusted fruit and cardamom flavoured shrikhand tarts
The warm gulabi scones served with lashings of clotted cream and homemade alphonso mango compote are the cherry on the cake for this delightful afternoon tea. Wash it all down with a hearty cup of Masala Chai tea.


Decadent Diwali Feasts
For lunch or dinner, feast on the Taj Diwali festive menu. There’s plenty on offer including a whole host of vegetarian and vegan options in this spread of delicious traditional delights, see just a selection of what’s available below:

To start, there’ll be Chilli garlic jhinga prawns, Khasta raj kachori puffed pastries filled with spicy dal and served with mint and tamarind chutneys, and beetroot and potato tikki chat featuring shallow fried beetroot and potato patties served with sweet yoghurt and tamarind, and garnished with pomegranate seeds
For the main course, guests can tuck into a black lentil Dal Kandhari, Delhi butter chicken with creamy spiced tomato sauce and Indian spices, Paneer Malai Kofta dumplings in a creamy cashew and saffron sauce, or spicy tender Scottish diced lamb cooked with fennel and flavoured tomato masala, paired with paranthi, chapati or steamed rice
The sweet delicacies to round out this spread include everything from Gulab juman cheesecake, sweet dried fruits or panacota-style soan papdi
