The Players' Theatre is one of the oldest theatre clubs in the World and will be celebrating 85 years this month. To mark the occasion there will be a star-studded Anniversary Music Hall at The Charing Cross Theatre (which was called the Players' Theatre for many years) on 28th November 2021 at 4pm.
The world-famous Players’ Theatre dates back to 1936 when it was co-founded by Leonard Sachs (& Peter Ridgeway) the tongue-twisting, gavel-wielding compere of smash-hit BBC TV series ‘The Good Old Days’ in the sixties and seventies. The Players’ Theatre Company would perform the opening number for each episode.
