Stars of stage and screen will be joining Queen Elizabeth's Foundation for Disabled People (QEF), as it hosts an evening of festive carols to get you in the Christmas mood and raise funds to support its expert services that enable disabled people to maximise their independence and live life to the full.

Based in the private chapel of the Archbishop, the service will begin with a drink’s reception and mince pies. This will be followed with heart-warming, festive readings from actors, Christopher Eccleston and Silent Witness star, David Caves and the opportunity for everyone to sing-along to Yule time favourites accompanied by the Chandos Chamber Choir with Musical Director, James Davey and organist, Graham Lunn. There will also be a special performance by a trombonist from The One-Handed Musical Instrument Trust.

Hayley Mackin, Head of Events, Community and Partnerships at QEF said: “Since the 13th century, The Chapel at Lambeth Palace has been the private chapel for the Archbishop of Canterbury and we are honoured to have been granted exclusive access. It truly will be a magical evening and we hope everyone can join us.”

Every penny raised from the evening will go towards QEF’s work providing expert services that enable disabled people to increase their independence, through improved mobility, developing new life skills and rebuilding lives affected by stroke or acquired brain injury. QEF currently supports almost 10,000 people each year and has recently opened a state-of-the-art Care and Rehabilitation Centre, providing person-centred neuro rehabilitation and care in the heart of Surrey.
