Frames of Representation (FoR): ICA Film Festival

FoR21 presents 20 premieres from Africa, the Americas, Asia and Europe within the thematic focus of this year's festival: (Re)Imagining. The programme explores film practices at the intersection of image production, co-creation and – to some extent – artistic manipulation. In line with the previous five editions of the festival, all screenings will spark thought and conversations surrounding the ethical boundaries of filmmaking. An accompanying line-up of masterclasses, workshops, performances and director Q&As will further interrogate the relationships between creation, reality and artifice in relation to the programme. The ten days of screenings and supporting events aim to showcase a variety of cinematic languages used to capture necessary stories and shed light on human truths from around the world.
