Marugame Udon Celebrates Cherry Blossom Season

To celebrate Cherry Blossom Season, from 22nd March to 26th April, Marugame Udon will be bringing Japan’s most loved celebration overseas with London’s very first co-created cherry blossom tree and limited-edition Cherry soft serve.

The season symbolises a period of renewal and a time for optimism, and fans of the phenomenon often engage in a tradition “Hanami”, the practice of enjoying the fleeting beauty of the flowers.

While Japan’s borders remain closed, Marugame Udon will be offering a chance for diners to take part in the celebration transforming their Liverpool Street kitchen into a sea of pink blossoms. Diners will be given their very own do it yourself origami blossom and will be encouraged to write their message of hope to the wishing tree. By adding your blossom, the tree will flourish with pink petals over the season; a piece of artwork as beautiful and fleeting as Cherry Blossom season itself
