As part of the Highgate Festival, inspirational author and charity founder Carmel McConnell MBE, will be giving an in-person and online talk about Change Activism, how each one of us should become "a bit brave", not wait for politicians to sort the world's problems out (e.g. climate change, food poverty), but take action in our personal or work lives in line with our values. Drawing on her extraordinary life (as a Greenham Common protestor, broadband pioneer, entrepreneur and founder of children's food charity Magic Breakfast) and the wisdom of global change leaders (e.g. Big Issue co-founder Lord John Bird and Kenyan education leader Qabale Duba), Carmel will energise and motivate the audience to explore their own change activist potential.
