Chinese Arts Now invite you to enjoy low carbon Chinese dishes at an enviromental pop-up space in London's Chinatown developed by London’s East and South-East Asian communities in collaboration with celebrated chefs MiMi Aye, Uyen Luu, and Shu Han Lee and data scientist Raphael Leung, as part of London Design Festival 2022. The pop-up space will host a series of interactive and performative sit-down meals featuring three tasty low carbon dishes of Chicken Rice, Sweet & Sour ‘Pork' (vegetarian) and Wonton Dumpling Soup (vegetarian), alongside short talks on the data science of climate change, Chinese heritage, and food culture.

The Low Carbon Chinatown pop-up space is created from low-carbon, recycled materials including UK grown Borinda bamboo, thoughtfully designed by artist, designer and Chinese Arts Now (CAN)’s associate artistic director Ling Tan and designer Usman Haque, with the support of structural engineers Atelier One.

An online digital cookbook will also be available with more information about the low carbon recipes.
