Expand your mind. Engage your body. Feed your soul…  join us for Restore22. **Restore22 Programme Highlights:** Mental Health: In Conversation with David Harewood MBE and Professor Green 6 October, 18:30 at Fora, Borough (180 Borough High St, London SE1 1LB) Once again, Mental Health Awareness Week presents us with a further opportunity to encourage open conversation; starting a dialogue surrounding a topic that so many of us daren't discuss: our own mental health. Join us, as mental health advocates, David Harewood and Professor Green, open up and discuss their own experiences, shedding light on important topics such as psychosis, suicide, race, lockdown and men’s mental health.

In a study carried out by mental health charity, Mind, 1 in 4 people in Great Britain will experience a mental health problem of some kind each year, whilst 1 in 6 people will report experiencing a common mental health problem (such as anxiety and depression) in any given week. With the number of people reporting mental health problems going up significantly in recent years, it’s important that we talk about the effects of issues with our mental health, and openly discuss how we can better help one another.

Cracking the Menopause with Mariella Frostrup and Alice Smellie 4 October, 18:30 at Fora. It’s time for us to start talking about the menopause.  Straight-talking broadcaster Mariella Frostrup, and award-winning health journalist Alice Smellie – authors of the groundbreaking, no-holds-barred guide to ‘Cracking the Menopause’ – join us as they impart their wisdom, experiences, and insight. Delivering all the information you could ever need, with characteristic, wry humour. “It’s high time we renovated and elevated this life change. Despite centuries of speculation and propaganda, we are not overheating or inherently cold, we are not hysterics or boiling vats of toxic poisons, we are not dried up or washed up – we are simply menopausal.”

Grace Campbell & Shon Fay The Future of Sex & Modern Dating 28 September, 18:30 at Fora. Recently writing on the future of heterosexuality and speaking on modern dating on her podcast, author Shon Faye leads this in conversation with Grace Campbell, critically and commercially acclaimed stand up comedian, author, and actor, to discuss the future of sex, labels and modern dating. In an age where ghosting is common practice on dating apps, and gender fluidity and sexual openness is increasing, how do you navigate a more complex, and tumultuous pool of potential dates? How do you experiment with your own sexuality without hurting others? Is it selfish to not make your intentions clear from the offset? Shon and Grace explore all of this and more in this talk on the future of sex and modern dating.

Tuesday Night Stand-Up With Comedians Maisie Adam, Kiri Pritchard-McLean and Michael Spicer 27th September, 18:30 at Fora. Laughter is the best medicine, and this evening of comedy with top quality comedians is exactly what the doctor ordered.  Laughter strengthens your immune system, boosts mood, diminishes pain, and protects you from the damaging effects of stress. Nothing works faster or more dependably to bring your mind and body back into balance than a good laugh.
