Istituto Marangoni London invites you to its London Design Festival talks programme, including talks exploring emotional design, biomimicry and regenerative design, meaningful design and the importance of materiality within interior and furniture design.

Saturday 24th September 5pm - 6pm
Lara Bohinc's "Emotional Design" is a discussion relating to design and how this can influence its audience through the analysis of aesthetics versus function and how emotional design impacts the viewer.

Saturday 24th September 6.15pm - 7.15pm
Sara Angold's "Biomimicry and regenerative design" talk by Michael Pawlyn focuses on the potential of biomimicry to go beyond conventional sustainability.

Sunday 25th September 12pm - 1pm
"Meaningful Design, The importance of Materiality within Interior and Furniture Design" is an analysis of sustainable design practice and how this be broken down into segments and the impact these different segments have on climate change.

Sunday 25th September 1.15pm - 2.15pm
"Matter of Stuff" explores a topic which emphasises the importance of materiality within Interior and Furniture Design and how this impacts our day to day living through a sustainable approach to the selection of materials and their applications.
