Sustainable Merton is proud to bring to you Merton’s Community Fridge, which aims to redistribute to the Merton community surplus food from local businesses and food growers, ultimately stopping tonnes of good quality food from going to waste.
Since 2020, Sustainable Merton has run Merton’s first Community Fridge, which takes and redistributes high-quality surplus food from local businesses that would otherwise go to waste.
As we continue to grow, we are looking for individuals to join us as a volunteer Fridge Friend.
What will a food storage volunteer be doing?
You will assist with receiving food from our food collection volunteers and Fareshare; recording and storing food safely in our storage facility at Morden Baptist Church.
