ITSLIQUID Group, in collaboration with YMX Arts, is pleased to announce the opening of
the 10th edition of LONDON CONTEMPORARY ART FAIR, which will take place in
London, at THE LINE Contemporary Art Space from February 08 to February 23, 2024.
LONDON CONTEMPORARY is an International Art Fair that will present collective and
solo projects by leading and emerging international artists. The 2024 edition will represent
a forum for the direct exchange of ideas and contacts between collectors, artists,
photographers, designers and art professionals. The art fair features paintings, sculptures,
photography, installations, video art and live performances and will analyze the
relationship between body and space, and the hybridization between identities and
cultural/physical/social/urban settings in contemporary times.
The emphasis on interaction, diversity of artistic expressions, and thematic exploration of
contemporary issues, will contribute to creating a vibrant and intellectually engaging
cultural event. Among the artists involved, Wendy Cohen will blend the whimsical
brushstrokes of Abstract Expressionism with the precision of Geometric Abstraction,
creating composite paintings that reflect her distinctive style. Focusing on mark-making,
textured brush strokes, shapes, lines, and colors, Wendy's work explores the interplay
between the natural and urban surroundings through a painterly abstract language: with a
sense of curiosity and exploration, Wendy's genre will reveal an exciting interplay, bringing
textured mixed media paintings to life.
Delving into personal stories and emotions, the young designer Shiqi Xu gets inspiration
from the intersection of social issues and individual behavior: her design language is a
blend of romance and poetry, viewing the creation of a collection as akin to crafting a
delicate and subtle poem. With a global perspective gained from living and studying in
cities like London, New York, and Shanghai, Shiqi embraces her Chinese heritage,
infusing traditional crafts and materials into modern fashion. Her consistent exploration will
revolve around timeless themes, unraveling the possibilities of fashion by celebrating the
delicate nature of femininity and highlighting that vulnerability doesn't imply weakness but
possesses a unique and captivating charm.
LONDON CONTEMPORARY is envisioned as a platform facilitating direct interactions
between collectors and art professionals, creating a dynamic setting tailored for
networking, collaboration, and the exchange of artistic insights. This objective will be
pursued by exploring powerful mediums to express both one's journey and existence in
the world, such as Berra Eris does. Hailing from Turkey, the painter finds her artistic voice in the realm of abstract art: the canvas becomes a space to interpret the contrasting
emotions of feelings, anxiety, aggression, and passion that have coloured her experiences.
In her art, she encapsulates pure, unfiltered, and instant feelings, emphasizing the
essence of her work as the endeavor "to stay at the moment".
The exploration of various modes of expression will be further intensified through Agata
Haras Martins' works, blending traditional painting and digital art. She will utilize art as a
medium to tell stories, share feelings, and unveil her imaginative world: her belief in the
expressive power of images will invite viewers into a dialogue, allowing each picture to
convey a multitude of unspoken worlds. Agata's art is an intricate exploration of the human
experience, offering a rich and emotive tour through her visual narratives.
THE LINE London stands as the ideal intersection between contemporary art and the
modern world, providing a dedicated space for expressing their shared characteristics.
Zorhia Allen initiated her artistic journey in 2016, gaining a heightened awareness of
Jamaican culture and the enduring impact of colonization, notably grappling with the
concept of "psychological invisibility." In response to these experiences and instances of
racism, her paintings explore themes such as social stratification, racial discrimination,
fashionable publicity, and the ongoing quest for self-acceptance. Zorhia's dedication to
addressing these societal issues is evident in her participation in various exhibitions,
including LONDON CONTEMPORARY.
Already immersed in the thriving artistic community of London, Susanne Winter's creative
process involves carrying paints wherever she goes, resulting in a rich collection of
sketches and drawings that inspire her final pieces. Her works revolve around the
properties of color, exploring the effects generated by movement to capture the mood and
energy of nature, encapsulating the essence of her connection with the ever-changing
beauty of the world. The exhibition will feature a curated collection of video artworks (see
