"Dedicated" Art Exhibition

“A 3D graffiti pioneer’’ THE FACE MAGAZINE

In 1984 Zeus exhibited at Riverside Studios as a prolific street artist. Two decades later he aptly returns to Riverside Studios to launch his exhibition Dedicated where he demonstrates the evolution of street artist to contemporary gallery artist.

Dedicated launches on November 17th 2005 at 6.30pm at the Riverside Studios in Hammersmith and runs until January 15th 2006.

Zeus has pushed the boundaries of graffiti artistry to create a collection of innovative typography, fine art and sculpture. The Dedicated exhibition shows how forms of graffiti art can be transformed into contemporary pieces appealing to a wider audience. The exhibition takes you through 20 years of Zeus’s artistic career leading to a sneak preview of his exclusive new collection due to be launched in 2006.


ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Zeus is London born artist Dean Zeus Colman. Captivated by the hip-hop scene of the 80's he began expressing his creative talents on the streets when he was 14.

Zeus’s career began when his widespread tag was spotted by Tim Westwood who commissioned him to create designs for one of the first hip-hop clubs, Spatz, in 1984.

In 1996 Zeus exhibited at the Victoria and Albert Museum before holding his first solo show at Westbourne Studios.
He went on to work with Jade Jagger to re-design the windows and display cabinets for Garrards (the Crown jewellers).

The Dedicated exhibition is a collection of sketches, fine art and 3D sculptures. His infamous fish tank and concrete table shown at the Eminem Show will be part of his exhibition. Details of his next exhibition showing the whole of his new exclusive collection will be announced.
