The Reduced Shakespeare Company – are back on tour with a BRAND NEW SHOW, direct from America and via the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. COMPLETELY HOLLYWOOD (abridged) shakes up showbiz in an epic edit of movie masterpieces. Written by RSC stalwarts Reed Martin and Austin Tichenor, this new show had its world premiere at this year’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival. They are now careering around the country on a UK National Tour from September 2005 – June 2006.

Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the theatre, the RSC boldly goes where few would dare – Tinseltown! You’ve seen Shakespeare, the Bible and All The Great Books but now get your clapper boards ready! Let the RSC rummage through the reels and flick through the films in this riotous carnival of the classics. They cut through the celluloid, giving Hollywood more than just a nip and tuck.

The RSC originally came out of the Californian woods in 1981 onto the streets of America, fast forward to the festivals of the world and marched right into The West End of London and kept careering around the country. They ran at London’s Criterion Theatre for an historic 10 years and became London’s longest running comedy. Over the years they’ve shortened Shakespeare, abbreviated American History, comically condensed the Bible, merrily mutilated the Millennium and brilliantly butchered All the Great Books.

Come and see the speed merchants of condensed comedy countdown the greatest ever movies in a hilarious, high-speed romp!

May the farce be with you!
“90 minutes of non-stop hilarity in this send-up of the movie industry” The Daily Mail
They are irrepressible” The Times
“Guys who really know how to do high-speed romp” Scotland on Sunday
