“They’re not coming, Lisa.”
“But they have to.”
“Why?”
“Because of the Twenty Minute Policy.”

It’s 3pm and Tess and Lisa are locked in. They were expecting visitors at 2:30 and despite the occasional sound of a door, no-one’s turned up. No-one.

As time slowly ticks by and still no-one comes, polite chit-chat gives way to arguments about life, the rules, chewing gum and in particular, the rather bamboozling Twenty Minute Policy.

Carl Sagan once said, “If we’ve been bamboozled long enough, we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle. We’re no longer interested in finding out the truth. The bamboozle has captured us.” And just when it seems that may very well be the case an unexpected visitor arrives.

The Twenty Minute Policy opens the 2010 Camden Fringe and is a story of debate and deception. Reason and Rules. Truth and chewing gum.

A comedy-drama written by award-winning writer Trent Burton, (“Witty and Relevant - Fringe Report) The Twenty Minute Policy stars Charlotte Sutherland (Caught in the Net, No Sale), Gigi Burgdorf (Saved or Destroyed, The Lady’s Not for Burning) and David Swain (Stay With Me Till Dawn, Marlowe.
