Create your own birds to take home using feathers, paints and other crafty materials. Build a bird mobile, make a heron mask or colour in your own wetland badge or keyring.
Tower (2nd floor). £1 to make a badge/ keyring.
12.00 – 12.30 Winter water life
Have you ever seen a caddis fly spin its home with silk or the tiny spines of a stickleback fish? Dip into our ponds to see what creatures you can find or play some games.
Pond Zone.
13.30 – 14.00 Bird cake cookery class
Join us to make tasty cakes for birds full of nuts and seeds. Take them home for your feathered friends to feast on over the winter.
Meet us in the Yurt in World Wetlands, where our fire will be roaring.

14.30 – 15.00 Ducktastic discovery
Meet our rare birds in World Wetlands which we breed for conservation purposes. Colour in your favourites, play quacking games and spot migrant birds on the lakes through our telescopes in the bird hide.
Meet us at the Yurt in World Wetlands.
15.30 – 16.30 Bird-time crafts (as above)
Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
