The Return: A New Play by Julia Pascal
In 1656, over 350 years after their expulsion, Jews were allowed back to England. But did they ever officially return? This is the haunting question at the heart of Pascal’s new play. It is the story of Pandora, a 15 year old Londoner whose grandfather came to Britain on the Kindertransport, although many of his family were refused entry and perished. Exploring Britain's ambivalence towards Jews, Pandora goes on a strange journey.
