Mayor of London's Sky Ride

This summer sees the return of Sky Ride – a national campaign from Sky and British Cycling to get one million more people cycling regularly by 2013. The campaign includes free events, activities, information and support to help and inspire people of all ages and abilities to re-discover the fun they can have on two wheels. The free Sky Ride City events encourage families and individuals of all ages and abilities to get on their bikes for a unique traffic-free cycle ride and experience all the joys that cycling can offer. Over 200,000 people took part in the Sky Ride City events last year and to date; over 392,000 more people have taken up cycling regularly since the campaign began in 2009.

London is part of the Sky Ride campaign, aiming to get one million more people riding a bike by 2013. The Mayor of London’s Sky Ride London is a hugely popular traffic-free bike ride which takes place on Sunday 4th September.
