These Hands Are Models

Exhibition of new work by Martin Westwood.

These Hands are Models presents ceramic works on plinths of walnut veneer box section and smoked glass that assimilate the material vernaculars of a corporate culture, in an unravelling dialogue within the gallery, exploring quantification, mechanisation, repetition and exchange.

An accompanying publication, designed with Fraser Muggeridge Studio, will explore both the thematic concerns of these rarefied and formalised objects and the appearance of the technical, formal and procedural interests at play in their construction.

Martin Westwood is currently Stanley Picker Fellow Fine Art at the Faculty of Art, Design & Architecture, Kingston University, London.
