Luke Pearson Art Show & Signing

Here at Gosh! we like Luke Pearson a whole bunch. We got the young British comics creator to illustrate our We’re Moving poster not so long ago, and then we threw him a book launch for his graphic novel Everything We Miss at our brand new digs. Currently a Luke Pearson art show adorns the Gosh! walls in the lead-up to the release of his new book from Nobrow, Hilda & The Midnight Giant, his follow-up to last year’s Hildafolk.

In the first volume of the new series, Hilda finds her world turned upside down as she faces the prospect of leaving her snow-capped birthplace for the hum of the megalopolis. Her mother, an architect, has been offered a prestigious position in the bustling megalopolis that she would find hard to reject. Besides, the tiny elven creatures making a daily habit of bombarding them with threats isn’t making Hilda’s case any better. As she seeks ways to stall her mother’s decision, Hilda rushes to befriend the very source of her malady – will they help or hinder her? More importantly, who is this mysterious Midnight Giant?

All the pages are for sale at £200 a pop. Come see them, buy them, and spend the rest of the month surviving on tinned beans while you gaze upon his mighty works.

And the best bit? On Saturday the 26th of November Pearson will be torn briefly from his drawing desk in order to appear here in store to sign copies of the new book from 6pm to 7pm.
