London Contemporary Voices with guest artist Jumoké Fashola

LCV come to St. George’s for a night of choral music exploring the subliminal, the serene and the nightmarish. From the ethereal to the macabre, London’s most forward-thinking chamber choir will perform a variety of works from Whitacre, Orff, Stanford and Elgar, as well as unique and original arrangements of popular songs. The works of several new composers will also ...be showcased. This promises to be a spine-tingling and uplifting event for a cold winter’s evening, at a stunning central London venue.

LCV originally formed for the debut performance of Grammy-award winner Imogen Heap's work 'Love The Earth' at the Royal Albert Hall in November 2010. The choir performs contemporary and new choral music, often alongside traditional pieces and believes strongly in the benefits of working with other groups and art forms.

Jumoké Fashola is an award winning radio and television broadcaster and jazz singer who has toured internationally. She has performed at the Royal Albert Hall and is the creator and host of the monthly Jazz Verse Jukebox at Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club Upstairs. She also presents the Ronnie Scott’s Radio Show on Jazz FM; a weekly look at behind the scenes of the most famous jazz club in the world plus exclusive interviews and rare tracks.
