Dear Santa, all I want for Christmas is to gather with my mates at The Tommyfield in Kennington and be in the presents of sheer comedy geniuses while they make me cry with laughter at their berry funny jokes.

Forget Christmas shopping and decking the halls with boughs of holly, for a real festive treat and a sleigh full of laughter this December, head to the Renaissance pub where ABC Comedy and MC extraordinaire James Gill will host the evenings of the 15th of December.

A special Christmas comedy event will take place on Thursday 15th December with all proceeds raised going to Great Ormond Street Hospital. Acts include:

Headliner Gemma Whelan will play the lead role of Chastity Butterworth. As a finalist at the ‘Funny Women Awards 2010’, Gemma’s quirky, frank, mischievous humour comes alive through witty stories and occasionally foul-mouthed characters.

Horse and Louis, the awesome musical double act were semi finalists in the ‘Amuse Moose Competition 2011’. Youngish, geeky and with acoustic guitars, they are the UK’s answer, and some, to the Flight of Conchords.

Harriet Kemsley began stand up this year but she has already been named as ‘Up The Creek's one to watch’ and was a ‘Reading Comedy Festival new act finalist’. Her fresh style of writing and one-liners about London’s clash of middle and working-class cultures is a hit with the audience.

Yule be sorry if you miss this, it’s not too deer either - just £5 on wegottickets.com or buy tickets on the door.
