Mishaped Pearls play a unique mix of contemporary classical/folk/world music. Their singer Manuela Schuette, takes her lyrics from ancient poetry and sings in Italian, French, German, English, Spanish, Latin and a made up language!
"when we arrived a band was well settled into a impromptu gig which lasted in all about two hours and it was the best two hours of the weekend. The name of the group is MISHAPED PEARLS and here is where I have to possibly use up my entire supply of superlatives for this year. Saying that how do I categorize this excellent band? Quasi folk/classical? I don’t really know, but be sure of this Mishaped Pearls make music of substance."

Support comes the amazingly talaented and versatile Josephine Lloyd -
“The extraordinary Josie Lloyd with her alluring folkish songcraft. worth missing the fireworks for! … a classically trained musician, singing beautifully and masterfully playing an eclectic mix of instuments: kora, 5-string electric violin, guitar, piano/synths, accordion, percussion, music box, tap shoes... etc! What a woman!” - Zenith Bar, Islington
