Alon Zakaim Fine Art is proud to announce the unveiling of their second Mayfair gallery this February. Alon Zakaim is highly regarded on the Mayfair art scene and will be joining numerous prestigious galleries on Dover Street which is fast becoming a rival to Cork Street.
Featuring an exciting programme of exhibitions in a spectacular setting, the new gallery will showcase the highest calibre of works by Impressionist, Modern and 19th Century masters. Dover Street will also expand on the diverse programme of Zakaim’s Cork Street premises, including shows by the gallery’s stable of Contemporary and 20th Century European artists.
Building on their established success, the new gallery, boasting over 2,000 square feet of exhibition space, will launch with an opening show unveiling key works by artists who shaped the course of art history over the hundred years from 1880 to 1980. Beginning with paintings by Claude Monet, Alfred Sisley and Edgar Degas, the founders of Impressionism, the exhibition will chart developments in the visual arts through Fauvists, Emile Othon Friesz and Kees van Dongen, to Modern masters such as Pablo Picasso, Jacques Lipchitz and Marc Chagall. Further important and powerful works influenced by, and taking reference from, these key figures will highlight the fertile and invigorating atmosphere of this period.
