BellyBollywood mix Workshop by Jennie

About this Workshop:
This workshop caters for those who are new to either Bollywood or Belly dance, as well as those who have already trained in both to some level. It focuses on allowing the styles to be fused and amalgamated, combining the sultry style of belly dance with the vibrant, energetic style of Bollywood. The course will include basic bollywood moves incorporating some belly dance technique. We will emphasise and condition how to isolate movements as required in Belly dance and also be able to loosen the muscles as required in Bollywood. The real challenge is being able to switch from one style to the other! Whilst doing this we learn to acquire correct posture, confidence and toning as well as attaining greater flexibility in movement. You will learn choreographed routines to traditional and fusion music that incorporates both Indian and Arabic beats.

About Jennie
Jennie is the Managing Director and Co-Founder of Bollywood Dance London and Artistic Director/Founder of Sheikh It. A passionate and versatile dancer, teacher and performer; her in-depth knowledge of the dance Industry combined with her infectious personality make her refreshingly different. Having successfully run her own dance company with BDL, Sheikh it is a further venture into fusion dance with a core focus on Belly Dance.
Fusing the two styles is her main passion, creating a sexy, yet elegant combination known as BellyBolly.
In the past year, Jennie has worked with Pineapple Dance Studios, Danceworks, LA Fitness, ITV, FitnessTV and Sassy Films. She has also co-ordinated performances at The IndigO2, Earls Court Olympia and Trafalgar Square. Outside of the UK, she has created bespoke events for private clients in Paris, Tuscany and Monaco.
