My first hand experience of the fair was that it was a waste of money. You pay for the privilege of being sold expensive cake equipment that you can buy anywhere. It's full and bustling with aggressive women pushing to get to the front. Not very much cake there - a small exhibition of really fussy cakes that have been in a competition but they soon get boring after the 50th person has elbowed you or pushed in front an then walked backwards at you to take a good photo. There are also authors here but i hadn't heard of any.I didn't enjoy it, left promptly and wouldn't go back.
