We are delighted to present this highly talented band whose epic soundscapes and post-rock textures combine with sublime composition to deliver a truly satiating experience.

Brian Charles from the isle of Sjœlland (Denmark) is a potent musical force. His vision draws together several disciplines, those of writer, singer, guitarist, drummer, producer. His debut eponymous album is the culmination of time spent mastering his art. In concert his performances are intoxicating, with Charles singing bewitchingly from his drum kit, delivering powerful yet sensitive performances; his band utterly consummate with luscious strings entwined with glowing guitars and analogue keyboards. Brian Charles has wowed crowds at Secret Garden Party, The Glade, Cargo, Latitude and Queen Elizabeth Hall. Japanese guitarist Yujiro Wada, originally inspired by classic British Rock, developed a passionate love for Jazz while studying at AN Contemporary Music School. When living in New York he took lessons from one Pat Martino and performed regularly on the thriving Harlem Jazz circuit. Yujiro has taught at The Tokyo Communication Arts and The Tokyo School of Music, there having the opportunity to play with the likes of Mike Stern and Steve Bailey. Yujiro’s album "I Remember You” features renowned musicians Mark Egan, Danny Gottlieb, Eddie Gomez, Al Foster and Jon Werking. The recording was released by King Records. Yujiro has toured all over Japan and South Korea and given numerous TV and Radio performances. Now resident in London, his playing brings to The Beattree rich harmonic colours and vibrant fluid improvisations. His skills as composer have added to the group’s expanding catalogue. Guildhall School of Music and Drama alumnus Jason Simpson is an in demand acoustic and electric bassist. In Beattree his deft, mature playing underpins the intricacies of shifting time signatures, adding groove and melodic sensibilities to the band’s sound. His tone is deep and woody and his fingerstyle technique recalls John Entwistle and John Paul Jones.
