On 16th March 2012 a unique London fashion event will take place in Notting Hill uniting the Bold, the Beautiful and the Independent of the fashion industry, in aid of The Rugby Portobello Trust and its ongoing work to help the youth of the W11 area.

The Rugby Portobello Trust

North Kensington (W11) has a long history of, and continues to have, very high levels of social deprivation and unemployment. The Rugby Portobello Trust is a youth, education and housing charitybased in Notting Hill that has been working to provide young people in the area with a positive alternative to a life of crime, social deprivation and social exclusion. In the wake of 2011’s rioting and widespread public disorder, The Rugby Portobello Trust’s ongoing funding and work remains a critical element in ensuring the wellbeing of our neighbourhood and the future of its youth population.

The Event – REDISTRIBUTING FASHION

Curated by luxury clothing agency, Chic&Seek, the event will feature a wide range of London’s boutique fashion and lifestyle brands all under one roof, for one cause. Redistributing Fashion will also play host to the Celebrity Chic&Seek Rail filled with must-have pieces generously donated by high profile individuals and celebrities, with all proceeds from their sale going directly to The Rugby Portobello Trust. Founded by Tara Nash-King in 2009, Chic&Seek is an online clothing agency selling carefully selected and pre-owned women’s clothes and accessories with brands including; Chanel, Burberry, Alexander McQueen, Prada, Christina Louboutin and Hermes at prices reduced to between 50%-80% off their original retail price. Tara has been been closely linked with The Rugby Portobello Trust’s work since 2008.

March is always the time for ‘out with the old, in with the new’ and Redistributing Fashion is the perfect place to replenish your old winter wardrobe with the perfect spring looks. A carefully selected group of small businesses will be selling everything from luxury labels at discounted prices, contemporary fashion, jewellery and accessories alongside a selection of lifestyle brands. The event will take place in the 20th Century Theatre located on Westbourne Grove, just off of the Portobello Road. Other attractions will include: a “Health & Happiness” zone, a photo booth and a tarot card reading tent.
