Marriott London Sevens Rugby Weekend

International rugby sevens festival weekend.

Attended by over 100,000 spectators last year, this year's Marriott London Sevens weekend is set to be a great festival for rugby fans as well as being a family orientated event.

This year's theme is '70s Disco', so dig out your flares, don a wig and gear up for a weekend of brightly coloured rugby. This weekend is about more than just watching sport, it's about having a great time whilst watching some fantastic rugby and the atmosphere is almost unparalelled in the London calendar!

A fast paced variant of rugby union, matches last just 15 minutes. This results in a fast tempo, highly exciting game. The Marriott London Sevens is the final leg of the HSBC Sevens World Series, having toured nine countries throughout the season. Having acquired points through the season the weekend will be the decisive phase of the World Series, culminating with one team being crowned World Series champions. Competing teams will include Argentina, Australia, England, Fiji, France, Kenya, New Zealand, Portugal, Russia, Samoa, Scotland, South Africa, Spain, Wales, USA and Zimbabwe.
