This month we have the extremely talented LOWPINES headlining the night! Drawing on influences such as Arcade Fire, Smog, Sparklehorse, The National and Elliott Smith their sound is very much their own and something truly to behold!! They are supported by two very excellent acts that are steadily climbing the ladder of the London alt/folk scene, THE GLUE ENSEMBLE and THE KILCAWLEY FAMILY.
LOWPINES (FORMERLY OLFAR)
"...the kind of tune you’d get most out of listening to on a cliff buffeted by gales and spray from stormy seas..." Artrocker
THE GLUE ENSEMBLE
"...as if Badly Drawn Boy, Iron and Wine and Damien Rice got mutated together in some horrendous scientific accident gone terribly well..." - Kerriann Curtis, IndieMusicReviewer.com
"...delightful, engaging, quietly powerful music, oozing charm..." - The Analogue Club “...unbelievable orchestration, a soothing violin and acoustic guitar playing off ... perfect vocals.” -ThisBonusTrack
THE KILCAWLEY FAMILY
This brother and sister pairing are making a name for themselves on the london folk circuit. Originally from the north they are now very much London based and their particular brand of Folky/americana is very welcome!!
