The eccentric and eclectic: Rise and Fashion hosts ‘50s Lux’
‘The Year of Opulence’
Rise and Fashion, an up-and-coming UK creative events company is
hosting ‘50s Lux’, a 1950s inspired fashion show at the famous Rag
Factory off the trendy Brick Lane. The venue famous for MTV and BBC film castings as well as the first choice for brands like Orange and
Redbull, will exhibit Rise and Fashion’s extravaganza with the ambition to provide a platform for visionary and talented designers to showcase their creations to the love of UK’s diverse fashion public.
For one night the venue will be transformed by illustrator Mikael Cesar and photographer Rai Royal inviting viewers to step into a unique and edgy reworking of the 50s. With live DJ and comedy, various other entertainment such as 50s make over and photo shoots, stallholders positioned around the scene exhibiting exclusive designs, exciting sales for charities Save the Children and Baytree – this eclectic and down to earth vibe will mark an upbeat and refreshing backdrop for new and emerging talent.
Designers for the show include Fumsol London, a young free spirited designer; Boulevard Rouge re-inventors of the long lost fashions of that era; HazeB jeweler extraordinaire – and many more bringing you a fantastic evening.
Rise and Fashion are passionate about delivering the best to their live catwalks and the most popular designer as voted by the audience will win a full day’s worth of training in pattern cutting valued at more than £250, with much more perks by a trained couturier and professional weaver with a broad range of experience including working with the successful Lily Allen.
“Rise and Fashion really do provide a platform for designers to show
to the world their hidden and overlooked talents within the competitive fashion industry. If you are looking for the best trends and fads within the industry, this is where you can find it” said Sinead Rose private celebrity stylist.
“This event is about the freedom to express one's creativity through
the medium of fashion. 2012 is truly the year of opulence and we must
celebrate regardless of what the news reports say” added Joyce
Creative Director of Rise and Fashion events.
