Decanter's Great Summer Fine Wine Encounters (Italy)

This summer Decanter magazine is bringing a host of beautiful Italian vineyards and sumptuous Bordeaux Châteaux to you. In an inspired move to celebrate two of the greatest winemaking regions in the world, it will be holding two prestigious wine tasting events in close succession at the 5 star Landmark Hotel in London.

The Italian Encounter in May will see Italy’s most renowned wineries flying in to showcase their top wines. Famous names like Antinori, Castello Banfi, Pelissero, Planeta and many more will all be in attendance. From the crisp white Friuli, to the deep reds of Chianti, each wine will speak its unique Italian terrior, transporting you straight to the vineyards. For wine lovers it will be an absolute treat.

The Bordeaux Fine Wine Encounter one month later on Saturday 16 June, is a first-of-its kind. In addition to tasting more than 300 Bordeaux fine wines you can also try a selection of 2011 vintages fresh from the harvest, before they go in to barrel, giving visitors a unique insight in to en primeur.
