Juwon Ogungbe

Pianist and singer Juwon Ogungbe performs songs from his new cd "Life Force Music" (Second Generation Records) with his Life Force Band featuring Lekan Shobiyi (guitar); Renell Shaw (bass), Soji Ijaduola (drums) and Junior Balogun (percussion). The album is a rich textural experience - part social commentary, part personal sharing – showcasing Juwon Ogungbe’s melliferous baritone and innovative compositions. A welcome album for the times, it’s intensely musical, enjoyable and crisply produced and crosses between AfroRhythms, Classical and the mainstream in a compelling way.
